Oxbow Country Club is a Private , 18 hole golf course located in Oxbow , North Dakota. Oxbow Golf & Country Club first opened for play in 1975. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.
Jones’ use of ponds and the famous “Oxbow” lend challenging playability features and natural beauty to the course. To that end, perhaps one of the most dramatic finishing holes in the upper Midwest is #18 at Oxbow Country Club. Known as the “beauty and the beast”, a four par which requires two strategic shots over water to make the green challenges even the scratch golfers. Many matches have been won or lost on this picturesque and memorable hole.
The challenging #6 at Oxbow is a 536 yard 5 par. A tight fairway awaits the second shot for those playing this hole regulation style, with the water hazard lurking on the right. The big hitter will ponder risk/reward when making a decision to go for the green in two. Bunkers and grass berms around the left and rear of the green may not leave them the third shot they are looking for.
Oxbow Golf & Country Club golf course plays to 6,8331 yards from the Black tees. The course rating is 73.0 and the slope rating is 132. Oxbow Golf & Country Club par is 72. Rated by Golf Digest as the #3 Course in North Dakota and included on Golfweek’s Top 5 Courses.
