Hawaii Country Club was opened in 1958. As the name “Hawaii Country Club” suggests, it is the oldest public course on the island of Oahu.

The course at Hawaii Country Club was built to preserve the naturally twisting landscapes of the underlying valley. Opposite to many of the flatter courses on the island of Oahu, it has many hills and valleys.

Within the course are about 200 natural Monkey Pod Trees, which is an important factor to consider when mastering the course. Since every hole is so rich in variety, playing at this challenging course will surely be an event to remember for a long time.

Accuracy and calmness are the keys to successful scoring, rather than long-range driving, since the overall distances are not very long. Although the greens may not be very fast (except at the newly renovated 16th and 17th holes), please do watch out for the slopes. If you only look at the grass without judging the slopes correctly, you can very easily putt 3 or 4 times.

As long as you watch out for the above points, this course can be enjoyed by a wide variety of players.
