The 18-hole Whispering Pines golf course is a public course and features 6,392 yards from the longest tees for a par 72. Whispering Pines golf course opened in 1974 and was completely redesigned in 2002.
Whispering Pines is county-owned course and is a great course for beginners and seniors. The course is flat and easy to walk. The front 9 course is open and the back 9 is wooded with several water hazards, including an island green on the par-3 17th hole. The tee boxes were either rebuilt or relocated to give golfers new angles and fairway approaches. And drainage was improved across the entire back side of the course.
