Natadola Bay Golf Course

Natadola Bay Golf Course is a 18 holes, 7,150 yards (6,538 meters) on the southwest coast of Fiji. Designed by IMG Golf Course Services in association with local PGA Professional Vijay Singh, the Natadola Bay Golf Course opened in 2010 on a beautiful coastal property west of the Suva, the archipelago’s capital city.

Toughest holes on the card are the 1st (index 1) and the 18th (index 2), both of which play as testing long par fours. The 18th is a terrific finishing hole with the iconic clubhouse framing the hole from the tee. The fairway is well protected with bunkers and hazard to the left, with a prevailing wind that pushes balls from right to left. An accurate second shot to a large green will give you one last chance for a birdie, under the gaze of those already in the clubhouse.

The 544-yard 6th is perhaps the most memorable hole, with an elevated tee positioned 200 feet above a fairway that snakes right then left to the green. Longer players will salivate at the chance to cut the corner and reach the green in two, but with deep bunkering and an awkward green, this is truly a risk/reward hole with birdies on offer for the bold. Best of the short holes is the 145-yard 15th, played to a green that’s protected by three front bunkers.

Natadola Bay Golf Course – View from clubhouse

They have a beautiful Pacific Island styled clubhouse… it really does look impressive as you come up the 18th fairway. And inside doesn’t disappoint either. The open air bar/restaurant is perfect for relaxing with a meal and beer, and just taking in the view. The pro shop is well stocked, with everything you need, including plenty of Natadola branded clothing. There is a good sized driving range and of course you can book lessons with a PGA qualified pro.

Natadola Bay is within a comfortable 45 minute drive from the Nadi International Airport. Follow the directional signs toward Suva along the Queens Highway. Transfers to Natadola Bay Golf Course can be arranged via taxi, tour bus, rental car or helicopter.
