La Iguana Golf Course

Nestled alongside an exotic rainforest with breathtaking ocean views, the 18-hole, par-72 championship La Iguana golf course offers not only a challenging Ted Robinson-designed layout but also a spectacular gallery featuring friendly monkeys and macaws.

La Iguana Golf Course – Costa Rica

Designed by Ted Robinson, this championship golf course is considered to be naturally challenging as golfers play through the wilds of the Costa Rican jungle

Hole 6, “El Bruja,” is the first of the five short holes on the card and it’s the only par three where water doesn’t protect the green. The short par fours at 3, 7 and 17 all seem like benign holes – each of them measuring less than 340 yards in length – but they’re all treacherous holes; particularly the 17th, where the green is protected by water to the front left of the putting surface.

The signature hole on La Iguana is “El Tucan,” the 545-yard right doglegged 4th, where water – in the form of a stream that runs down the left before cutting diagonally across the fairway – threatens all the way from tee to green.
