Golf de Valescure

Created in 1895 by Lord Ashcombe, the Golf de Valescure, surrounded by pine trees, is the oldest course in the Var and the fifth in France.
With a length of 5 474 yards, Par-68, its design, similar to that of a British golf, has the distinction of offering several relatively short holes, which at first can make it look easy to negotiate .
The impression is misleading because, in fact, the narrow fairways, the difficult roughs, the numerous water hazards and the rather small greens, all put together, require constant reflection and wisdom in the choice of clubs. One must, indeed, sacrifice length for accuracy.
