Saint Malo Golf course

Golf de Saint Malo
This par-72, 6 672 yards with a slope of 140, is built around the Mireloup pond, vast lake of 74 acres which numerous arms surround many greens or fairways.
Between water hazards and granite rocks, trees and bunkers, the course unfolds its meandering fairways in the Breton countryside and keeps you in suspense for 18 holes. The early game is tolerant: the first 3 holes offer wide fairways and little disturbing roughs, however, the obstacles are there to accommodate the imprecise balls of players who neglect to warm up in the practice area. The course actually starts at hole # 4 with a Par-3, followed by the most difficult hole of the course: a Par-4 over 437 yards with dogleg and slope and a green perched on a hill overlooking the Mireloup pond which you need to cross on the next hole. On holes #7 and 8 you can relax, the two holes are short. The difficulties are back on the 9th hole, the “Amen Corner”, a series of four long holes and strewn with obstacles. Holes #13 to 15 are without major difficulty and allow you to take a last breath before attacking the terrible Par-4 of hole #16, which requires you to shoot a drive as close as possible to the obstacle before attacking the green elevated from 9m above the lake that suddenly appears so great. The two last holes offer opportunities for birdies, but still wary of the attack on the 18th green, two water hazards are there to welcome your swing flaws.
