The golf de Chantaco was opened in 1928 and is one of the most famous in the region. Only 2 kilometers from Saint-Jean de Luz the course was designed in a valley and forest environment.

Since 1928 many golfers have shared their passion for the game in this historic club set in the heart of the Basque country .

The course designed by Harry Colt is a great test for all golfers, requiring accuracy and strategy, and players can enjoy the wonderful parkland environment in the foothills of the Pyrennees.

Chantaco remains a very unique club thanks to the family and sport spirit that has been preserved since its origins.

Laid out in woods overlooked by the imposing foothills of the Pyrennes, Chantaco is a good test of golf that has gained a favourable reputation. There are two distinct nines, with one carved through a forest fringed valley and the other dominated by many a water feature and the course has hosted the French Open along with other international events.
