The attractive municipality of Bovec in northwestern Slovenia lies idyllically embedded into the valley of the Soca, close to the Italian border. The capital of Ljubljana is about 130 kilometers away. The town’s highlights include the Golf Bovec, founded in 2008. The course was designed as a parkland type, but also presents mountain and woodland characteristics. The terrain is flat, water hazards provide an additional appeal. Registration is only required on weekends and public holidays, but a club ID is necessary.
The park permits the use of GPS devices. The range of practice opportunities includes pitching greens, putting greens and chipping greens. A driving range with 14 tees, five of which are covered, as well as practice bunkers are available. Golf Club Bovec offers golf lessons, and rental equipment is available at the Pro Shop. Rental clubs and trolleys are available here. Caddies can be booked on request. The course offers challenges for both beginners and experienced golfers. Due to its unique location in the midst of a breathtaking alpine scenery, it provides a particular joy to play.
